Our Projects
Uganda
Project Overview
Our flagship project aims to implement advanced solar drying systems for fruit and vegetable farmers in the Luwero District, targeting 1,000 farmers aged 30-70. By preserving produce to last over six months, we give farmers ample time to market their products, reducing waste and economic losses. This initiative, starting in August 2024 and running through July 2025, will also lower carbon emissions by preventing spoilage and utilizing solar energy for a zero-emission production process.
Snow Adventure
Expected Outcomes
Increased Farmer Income: By preserving their produce for longer periods, farmers can sell their products when market conditions are favorable, leading to better prices and increased incomes. Reduced Food Waste: With extended shelf life, less produce will go to waste, contributing to food security in the region. Environmental Benefits: The use of solar energy for drying reduces reliance on fossil fuels, leading to lower carbon emissions and a smaller environmental footprint. Community Empowerment: Farmers will gain valuable skills and resources, enabling them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the overall development of their communities.
